Jesse Wine, Sludgy Portrait of Himself
29 October 2016 – 5 February 2017
A collaboration with neighbouring Kettle’s Yard, who commissioned the exhibition, Jesse Wine‘s Sludgy Portrait of Himself wove objects, light and sound together to create an abstract narrative drawing upon the rich folklore of Cambridgeshire’s fenland landscape.
Wine selected objects from the collections of both museums and displayed them with new pieces, using a number of rooms in our seventeenth century building to great effect.
A short film of this unique and popular project, produced by Kettle’s Yard during the exhibition, is available online along with an interview with Jesse Wine that you can also download in Portable Document Format (PDF).
