The Museum is excited to kick start a project to make better use of the historic White Horse Inn Courtyard. Thanks to National Lottery players and the National Lottery Heritage Fund we’d like to create a welcoming and bio-diverse urban garden that our community can enjoy.
This project will bring new life to the Museum’s space. Once the stable yard for the White Horse Inn, with stabling for 30 horses, it now houses some of the Museum statue collection including the statues from the Victorian Hobson’s Conduit fountain from the marketplace and market street pump.
With so many exciting opportunities for the space, we’re looking forward to launching a community consultation about what you would like to see in our courtyard. Have your say on what our courtyard looks and feels like.
Fill in this survey: https://forms.office.com/e/J2ZW2U10wz
All responses can be added to a draw to win a one-year Museum of Cambridge Friendship.*
The Museum’s courtyard is a place for our visitors and communities to enjoy and we’d like to make sure our communities are able to share their thoughts about they would like to see in the Museum’s space. The survey will be open until the 23rd of June, giving lots of time to share your thoughts on the space!
We believe that no matter your size, anyone can make positive changes to reduce their impact on the climate. That’s why we’re excited to expand on our carbon audit and energy reduction projects to create a more bio-diverse and nature-filled outdoor space.
*The draw will take place at the end of June, with one email selected at random. The Friendship is not redeemable for cash or exchange.
